A devastating earthquake measuring 8.0 magnitude struck Wenchuan county of Sichuan Province and its adjacent areas on May 12, causing heavy casualties and serious property losses. It was confirmed that the quake was the biggest and most destructive one in decades to hit China.

After hearing the sad news, the staff members of Beiliang company and its subsidiaries decided to do their bit to support the relief work while extending their condolence to the victims in the affected areas.

A donation activity was held May 14. More than 120,000 yuan was collected.

"I am willing to assist the victims and wish the speediest livelihood recovery in the disaster-hit areas, " a donor said.
